Thanks to Cardinal Health and ITSMF's Dr. Geanie Asante for answering the call to assist college students of BDPA Triangle and who are attending NCCU to share insights about integrating AI (e.g., Generative AI) into the web application the students are building to help minority communities impacted by an environmental justice issue in Durham, NC. The NCCU students (CIS majors) are working on a two-semester Capstone project to design and develop a web-based application integrating AI to address environmental issues affecting Durham underserved communities. ?? It’s Getting Technically Hot! ?? Calling all BDPA Chapters! BDPA SITES is bringing the heat with an exciting lineup of technical competitions designed to challenge and inspire our young innovators. Get ready to showcase your skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in the following competitions: ?? High School Coding Competition (BDPA SITES Instructors) – This competition provides students with hands-on experience in web development, programming, and project delivery. ?? STEAM Blitz Competition (A Hand in Learning, LLC) – Participants will engage in hands-on challenges using JavaScript test simulators, robotics, electronics, LEGOs, and the Engineering Design Process. ?? Esports Competition (STEAMSport, LLC) – BDPA chapter teams will design and develop their own video game to compete in an Esports tournament. ?? IT Showcase Competition (BDPA SITES Instructors & YAHWEH Enterprises Outreach LLC) – College and high school students will present research on advanced computing and technical topics, showcasing their knowledge and innovation. ?? Registration is Now Open! To celebrate this milestone for our BDPA chapters, registration for students (up to grade 12) is only $125. ?? Chapter Spotlight: The BDPA Monroe Chapter proudly participated in the Monroe Black History Parade, celebrating culture and community. Additionally, they engaged with future tech leaders at the Tech Expo held at Carroll High School in Monroe, LA. During the event, they successfully enrolled 32 students, furthering their mission to empower young minds in technology.
