The National Auto Auction Association represents 340 domestic and international auctions with total sales in 2023 of 7.3 million vehicles with a gross value of more than $110 billion. In addition to auction sales, NAAA members are remarketing supercenters and offer reconditioning facilities, special dealer services, and title and office processing. New and used car dealers, manufacturers, fleet operators, companies and financial institutions all buy and sell at NAAA member auctions worldwide. We also have 140 associate members from a wide range of related fields, such as leasing companies, financial institutions, insurance agencies, accounting firms, trade publishers, product manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and others.

NAAA is on the road in Phoenix! While in town for Used Car Week, the NAAA leadership team had the opportunity to visit some of our members in the area. Special thank you to Gus Jones and the team at Manheim Phoenix, Jerry Stiver, Steve Dulley, and the team at Metro Auto Auction of Phoenix, and Jim Mumford and the team at Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest. NAAA seeks applicants for the Ron Hope Memorial Scholarship for Auction Academy. The scholarship, which was announced at the 2024 NAAA World Remarketing Convention, covers the tuition cost for a student going through the two-year Auction Academy program. The call for applicants is for Auction Academy Class 9, which kicks off in February 2025. The Ron Hope Memorial Scholarship is open to regular NAAA auction members only. NAAA seeks applicants who have demonstrated upward mobility by advancing through roles at the auction, have demonstrated leadership potential, and are dedicated to continuing a career in the auction industry. We are thrilled to be a part of Auction Academy's time in Maryland, and thank you to NAAA Past President R. Charles Nichols, the team at Bel Air, and Pierre Pons, Penny Wanna, CAR, and the Auction Academy team for your hospitality and partnership. NAAA has established a Cybersecurity Task Force that represents a diverse group of experts of business leaders in the wholesale auto auction industry to collect and share information and help mitigate risks associated with cybercrime. The Task Force will meet regularly over the course of the next year. It was created by NAAA President Craig Amelung and will be led by NAAA President-Elect Eddie Lafferty.
