A big congratulations to National Association of Regional Councils Board members who were re-elected last night: Orion Township, MI Supervisor Chris Barnett & Winnebago County, IL Board Chairman JOE CHIARELLI. And to Modesto, CA Councilmember Rosa Escutia-Braaton who appears headed to re-election as well. I am saddened that Mills County, IA Supervisor Carol Vinton and Tulsa County, OK Commissioner Karen Keith (in her bid to be Tulsa's mayor) were not successful but am pleased they will both continue to carry the regional torch in other roles - including with NARC - going forward. And finally a farewell and thanks to Tracy, CA Mayor Nancy D. Young who served for 8 years on city council then 4 years as Mayor and now has been term-limited from that role. We are extremely thankful for her service to her community, to the San Joaquin Council of Governments, and to NARC.

This afternoon we concluded Executive Directors Conference part of the NARC Executive Directors Conference & Board Retreat. We wrapped up with an inspiring session from our host, the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, showcasing their initiatives in the Miami Valley region. The day featured insightful discussions on attracting and retaining staff, the impact of AI, and an exciting introduction to electric vehicle initiatives throughout Ohio. Thanks to our host organization and its executive director Brian O. Martin for their hard work in helping us to coordinate this conference!
