Practitioners can explore menopausal symptom management considerations in patients at high risk for breast cancer in this on-demand CE course. Participants will learn to describe breast cancer risk assessment, risk factors of significance, and options for risk reduction; discuss factors to consider when balancing breast cancer risk with menopausal symptom relief; and discuss pharmacological management of menopausal vasomotor symptoms for patients with significant breast cancer risk. This activity has been approved for 1.0 continuing education contact hour including 0.50 hours of pharmacology content and is available through December 31, 2025. As we celebrate Native American Heritage Month, NPWH is pleased to recognize Maria Teresa Gilman, APRN, MSN, BSN, White Feather. After working in labor and delivery for several years, she decided to pursue further training, earning her MSN in 2001. She is an APRN on staff at East Bay Community Action Center, an FQHC in Newport, RI. Her heritage plays a significant role in her life. "As a Native American elder, I continue to support my Tribal family at social gatherings, our annual pow wow and culture week in August," she said. "We are honoring the path of our ancestors."
