  • It’s time for our Friday Featured Member! We are proud to work with so many talented health care recruitment professionals here at NAHCR. They embody all that is great about our industry. Today, we feature Lana Saeed, Clinical Recruiter at Asbury Communities, Inc. Asbury is the nation’s 15th largest not-for-profit senior living organization. With 11 senior living communities, pharmacy and outpatient therapy management services, as well as the Asbury Foundation and ThriveWell Tech, Asbury employs approximately 2,800 associates who proudly serve more than 4,300 older adults in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. Lana shared that she was introduced to recruiting through her role as a case manager about 7-8 years ago, and later worked for a startup and a staffing company, focusing on clinical roles. She has been a clinical recruiter at Asbury for three years, working alongside one other clinical recruiter. Their team is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for various clinical positions (nursing, therapy), across multiple communities in Pennsylvania and Maryland. The day-to-day tasks involve constant communication with hiring managers, making offers, and sending candidates to onboarding. Lana joined NAHCR recently and has already taken and passed her CHCR certification. She found the examination to be a good mix of learning material and real-life experience. She was contemplating between joining NAHCR or SHRM and decided upon NAHCR due to a better alignment with her role and needs as a health care recruitment professional. Several of her colleagues also highly recommended NAHCR so that helped in her decision-making. When asked about why others should join NAHCR she said, “NAHCR provides a more in-depth understanding of the unique work we do and offers broader viewpoints of the “why” in our profession. Today, we feature Alexis Patterson, LPN, MS, CHCR, who serves as Talent Acquisition Specialist for Diligent Health. Diligent Health Solutions is a global communications company serving the Life Sciences industry. Diligent offers a wide array of Medical Affairs and commercial solutions including medical information, customer care, patient engagement programs, HUB services, and virtual nurse educators. Alexis has enjoyed a variety of roles and educational experiences which include 20 years with Walgreens before achieving her LPN in 2011, then pivoting toward education in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, receiving both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She has been in her current role for over 2 ? years where she primarily recruits nurses and pharmacists. Alexis is absolutely enjoying recruiting so many talented candidates that are having a positive impact on Diligent Health’s continued success. She feels her psychology education has been of tremendous value to her in this recruiting role. She joined NAHCR less than a year ago and couldn’t wait to go through the CHCR certification process. She is so proud of her certification and felt the entire process was so supportive.   • It’s time for our Friday Featured Member! We are proud to work with so many talented health care recruitment professionals here at NAHCR. They embody all that is great about our industry. Today, we feature Halle McDaniel, Regional Talent Engagement Manager for PAM Health. PAM Health is a national network of over 70 long-term acute care hospitals and rehabilitation hospitals. Halle is responsible for recruiting for all corporate roles and new-build hospitals with a focus on leadership. Halle has over 3 years of recruiting experience and is part of a team of 15 remote recruiters. She mentioned that their leadership team is highly supportive of professional development, which was a key reason for her joining NAHCR. Halle recently became a Certified Health Care Recruitment professional, completing NAHCR’s certification process and is thrilled to participate in the upcoming webinars and roundtables. She is already seeing value in the online community chat feature that all our members enjoy.
