2022 was a blur, but when i look back at how much we were able to accomplish i marvel at how far we’ve come. I’m beyond proud of our impact through Community engagement and how many people we were able to inspire with the launch of the “Community Economic Development Empowerment Project” aka “CEDEP 2020”. This has been one of the toughest journeys I’ve ever been on. Having to keep a straight face when i felt broken, having to maintain motivation when i felt hopeless and having to inspire when i myself was uninspired or felt my efforts and impact was undermined and unappreciated. But by the grace of God he was able to use me to be a vessel to get this work done for our people, our community, my family and our Empire. As we move forward, not looking back but forward with dedication, discipline and optimism i trust that God will keep me focused, energized and Focused. This is going to be a long road but I’m thankful for EVERYONE God has with me on this road. I couldn’t do this without my family, extended family, my love, my friends and partners and my entire network! I’m so inspired right now and i look forward to building the World’s first and ONLY Black Labor Tourism District… A Philip Randolph’s Way! Let’s Build! In 2009 The National A Philip Randolph Pullman Porter Museum launched its youth and young adult division of the Museum; #Museum44 “Where Hip-Hop Meets History”. In 2014 we recognized that in order to properly host our community events, programs and productions we needed a Performance Platform to accommodate all the activities centered around the arts that the Community at large would engage in. As a result of this need and to celebrate to installation of this new stage we launched the “Urban Renaissance; Event Series”. Since that time this performance platform has been a community staple where not only visitors of the Museum and participants of our After School Matters and #OneSummerChicago Youth Programs can utilize this space but also the residents of the 210 unit building across the street from the Museum. Here is a brief look at some of our previous activities since the inception of our Community Performance Platform.
