"The role of the teacher has evolved, requiring ongoing professional development to build leadership skills. The Teachers Are Leaders Act will provide critical resources to empower experienced teachers and better prepare them for career advancement, ultimately strengthening the pipeline of future school leaders. We are grateful to Congressman Schneider for championing this important bipartisan legislation." - Ronn Nozoe, CEO of NASSP Congressman Brad Schneider, alongside bipartisan co-sponsors, introduced the Teachers Are Leaders Act to enhance professional development for current teachers. The bill expands the Federal Teacher Quality Partnership (TQP) program to fund teacher leader programs that focus on key areas such as curriculum development, family and community engagement, and peer coaching. By offering these opportunities, the legislation aims to strengthen leadership in schools, improve the teacher pipeline, and ultimately boost student outcomes. ??
