We are very sorry to inform you of the passing of Rick Zachary. Many of you knew Rick. He had been working in this industry for most of his adult life. He served as Patterson’s Branch Manager in Nashville for many years, and we were fortunate to have Rick join Nashville Dental in June of 2009, where he worked with us until his retirement in 2019. Rick helped us start our Professional Services division, working with the dental schools, retiring dentists looking to sell their practices, and dentists looking to become associates or open their own practice. His network was enormous, and rare to find someone in this area in the last 50 years that didn’t know him. Rick’s personality, smile and laugh were infectious. If you were having a bad day, and crossed paths with Rick, your day became better. Rick is an icon in the dental industry and all that knew him, loved him. The good Lord blessed us when he brought Rick to the NDI family. He helped a lot of people in our profession to succeed, and enjoy what they do. He was a model of faith, character, and work ethic. He cared about people and reflected his faith well into the world and his son Michael, who is a Service Technician with us, is a great representation of his Dad. It’s special when a person leaves this world and those who knew them all say, the world was better because of them being in it. This is very true of Rick and he will be greatly missed.
