This week I had the opportunity to attend the NASF Washington Forum. The Forum brings together leaders in the industry to engage with the departments in our government that make decisions or influence technology, critical minerals and regulation relating to Surface Finishing. The highlight of the day for me was hearing Charlie Cook speak about the upcoming election. Regardless of your political leaning, Charlie’s insight and non partisan approach was incredible to witness. Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. As we reflect on the courage, resilience and unity shown in the face of tragedy, we also pay tribute to the first responders, heroes and families forever impacted by this day.

Here's what NASF Foundation President Vincent Noonan, CEF, Sheffield Platers, has to say about it: "Sheffield Platers eagerly embraced the Catalyst eLearning Center, the new continuing education platform launched by the NASF and NASF Foundation. This learning center not only offers the professional, technical courses available at SUR/FIN, but also introduces three new courses, free for NASF members: Math Basics, Chemistry Refresher, and our favorite, Introduction to Plating Basics 101. This platform provides easy access for all our team members to explore continuing education in the surface finishing industry. Two of our team members have already benefited from the Introduction to Plating Basics 101 course, and we’ve added their certificates of completion to their Human Resources files. This program allows a small company like Sheffield Platers to provide our team members with an increased understanding of the theory and best practices behind their daily work.
