The National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers is an organization for state officials tasked with the financial management of state government. NASACT’s membership is comprised of officials who have been elected or appointed to the offices of state auditor, state comptroller or state treasurer in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories. The association aims to: -- Offer training and technical assistance programs and address numerous requests for information each year from members, other government officials, and the private sector. -- Monitor and respond to federal legislation and agency developments impacting state government and act as a liaison to federal regulatory bodies and Congressional committees on issues of interest to members. -- Respond to technical standards-setting bodies, helping to ensure the highest levels of government transparency, accountability and integrity.

Executive Director at National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers and Treasurers (NASACT)
It is bittersweet as I officially announce my retirement from NASACT effective March 31, 2025. It has a been a great honor to work in the accounting, auditing and association profession for almost 43 years. Serving the members of NASACT for over 34 years, including the past 21 years as Executive Director, has been particularly rewarding. I’ve had the privilege to work with the finest accountability and oversight professionals in the United States. I’ve also been blessed to visit 48 states (I will get those remaining two soon!) allowing me to make friends and establish connections across the country. I can’t express enough my gratitude to the NASACT members and corporate associates, colleagues, and co-workers for your trust and confidence. Thank you all for being a part of my remarkable journey. I want to congratulate Josh Winfrey, CPA for being selected as NASACT’s next Executive Director. Josh is an outstanding professional, and I know NASACT will thrive under his leadership. I look forward to working with him in the months ahead to ensure a smooth transition. I still have almost six months before I retire, and I look forward to making a difference during that time. As for my retirement plans, I’m not sure what the future holds but I do know I will be leaving NASACT with a heart full of gratitude! https://lnkd.in/eefgZ9BX
