  • Chick-fil-A design team members recently had the opportunity to see a few of our Atlanta-area projects in person. These unique projects represent the range of work we do for Chick-fil-A. Working alongside Chick-fil-A design leadership, we help create innovative, one-of-a-kind restaurant experiences: - Ponce de Leon has strict design requirements for being located in the Poncey-Highland Historic District. - North Druid Hills is designed to better serve mobile orders and delivery pick-ups. - The Dwarf House is a tribute to the iconic original home of Chick-fil-A.

  • Announcing the new Oklahoma War Memorial & Museum! The USS Batfish, a World War II submarine, has called Muskogee home since 1972. A flood in 2019 rendered the sub and surrounding park inaccessible, but a plan to move the 312-foot-long retired Navy sub and companion war memorial museum is in the works. The plan, which calls for the vessel to move to a new site at Port Muskogee’s Three Forks Harbor, will ensure the Batfish’s future while a new and improved Oklahoma War Memorial & Museum will be built to ensure no one will forget the sacrifices of the veterans who served on her. Working alongside our friends at Hampton Creative, who created the new brand and concept exhibit visuals, Narrate’s museum design is inspired by traditional military archetypes and incorporates military-style Quonset Hut structures, which were invented during WWII. The design also incorporates wood slat cladding inspired by the traditional teak slat located on the deck of the submarine. Together, the museum design and the plan to move the Batfish represent vital components in preserving Oklahoma’s heritage and honoring our veterans. • International Women’s Day is an opportunity to recognize our team of accomplished women because their talent and dedication inspire us each and every day! Women have always played an important role in our firm, from one of the founders to amazing designers throughout our 32 years. Now, nearly half of our firm is women, which is right on trend with the growing numbers of women in design programs across the country. But our work isn’t over—it is still vital to celebrate women’s achievements and drive gender parity. When women are part of the conversation, we all benefit.

  • What a transformation! The newly renovated Children’s Advocacy Center has turned a long-vacant, run-down building into a vibrant, functional space that makes a real impact. Inspired by its residential surroundings, the design of the exterior renovation draws from the simple forms of the neighborhood context. Board-and-batten style cladded “houses” mark the entries into the Center and reinforce the neighborhood vocabulary and residential scale. Not only does this renovation provide a safe, welcoming place for staff and the children and families they serve, but it also improves the neighborhood, enhances safety, and boosts property values. A win for everyone!

  • Help us celebrate Liam Vennerholm on his 1st anniversary at Narrate! Liam started off as a Summer Intern in 2023, joining us full-time after graduating with honors from OSU soon after. Inspired by the active role architecture plays in people’s lives and how stories can be told by our everyday spaces and objects, Liam’s passion for storytelling and people-first design makes him a perfect fit at Narrate. He is also detail-oriented and extremely hard-working, making him a valuable addition to each of his projects. Beyond his architectural talents, Liam’s deep knowledge of design history—thanks to his Minor in History and Theory of Architecture—makes him the ultimate teammate for architectural trivia (he led his team to victory at our last lunchtime showdown!). Outside of work, you’ll find him immersed in all things sci-fi, from books to movies and TV. Thank you, Liam, for being a part of our team—here’s to your 1st anniversary and many more to come!

  • Render vs. Reality: Chi Omega Sorority House, OSU ? A vision brought to life: Fundraising renderings showcasing a grand staircase and an elegant yet inviting living area helped communicate the design of Chi Omega’s new sorority house to donors. Alongside an animated video, these assets played a key role in a successful fundraising campaign. ? The result? The beautiful new home promised by the early renderings, completed on schedule and in budget.
