Understanding measurement uncertainty and best practices is essential for accurate capacitance testing. This ILC/PT Kit provides participants with a structured way to evaluate their measurement processes, training, and uncertainty analysis when working with capacitance values. Participants will measure 8 capacitance values ranging from 100 pF to 1 mF using a 1 kHz signal, with expected measurement uncertainty between 0.1% and 1.0% of reading. The artifact includes nominal values of: ? 100 pF, 1 nF, 10 nF, 100 nF, 1 μF, 10 μF, 100 μF, 1 mF This proficiency test helps participants assess their lab’s measurement approach under controlled conditions, ensuring consistency and confidence in their results.
