Congratulations to Molly Rintoul, who received a 2024 Naperville Youth Service Award presented by KidsMatter, Mayor Scott Wehrli, Naperville City Council, and the City of Naperville for her volunteer work at Naper Settlement! The summer project for our History Squad volunteers was to crochet granny squares to turn into a blanket for a hospice patient. Molly went above and beyond the one block we asked her to make, crocheting 40 blocks, outside of her recorded volunteer hours. She also attended our sewing camp over the summer and assisted those with less experience by helping everyone to complete what they were creating. She volunteered regularly throughout the summer, accumulating over 70 hours of engaging with visitors and participating in the games and chores typical of a child living in Naperville during the 19th century. Her infectious personality uplifts the group and makes whatever they are working on much more fun. Molly, we are SO proud of you! Thank you for being such a wonderful volunteer!

We had a HOWLIN' good time at our Halloween bash for adults (21+), Howlin' at the Moon! ?? Thanks to everyone who came out last weekend to celebrate with us. We hope you enjoyed the activities, performances, and live music.
