Once we received the hard news of having to shut down, Khaliah O. Guillory went to work on what’s next & the Better Sleep Box was birthed (which you can still get??). And it was—better than we ever imagined, and it’s only getting better. In 2019, Nap Bar reached new heights, making waves and changing the game. From March’s participation in @united Women History Month Pop-Up to December’s collaboration with Mercedes-Benz for Sleep Chronicles, it was a year of remarkable growth and achievements. The journey began in April with the Rice Village 5-month long Beta Test, marked by the creation of the very first Nap Pod, sign installation, and the exciting announcement that NB accepts HAS/FSA accounts. May brought with it positive reviews and outstanding results from naps at Nap Bar, proving that quality rest was indeed at the heart of our mission. In July, we made our pop-up debut at the George R. Brown Convention Center. August was a game-changer as @abc13houston featured us on @localish , spreading the word about this innovative concept. October was a landmark month, as we achieved our 100th Nap in the beta test and were interviewed on @foxnews at the Galleria Opening. The signing of a lease for the Galleria location and a GHCC Pinnacle Awards Nomination further underscored our success! In November, the grand opening at @houstongalleria was a momentous occasion, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the launch of the ‘What is Nap Bar’ docuseries, providing a deeper insight into the brand. Closing out the year with a bang in December, we collaborated with a Mercedes-Benz dealer for Sleep Chronicles, graced the cover of @outsmartmagazine , and received the prestigious Eyeconic Award. 2019 was a year of progress and milestones for Nap Bar, and our journey towards redefining rest and relaxation had just begun.
