We’re excited to announce a brand-new report, Reproductive Justice Pathways for Chicago! This report was developed by the Chicago Reproductive Justice Coalition in collaboration with the Black Researchers Collective. Through focus groups with women of color, this study documents how barriers prevent basic rights & access to sexual & reproductive care, particularly in historically marginalized communities. Mark your calendars for a webinar with an in-depth discussion of this research! Read the full report and register for the webinar at https://lnkd.in/erj7dbSY

Reproductive justice is the human right to control our bodies, our sexuality, our gender, our work, and our reproduction. This right can only be achieved when everyone, especially those most marginalized, have the complete economic, social, and political power and resources to make healthy decisions about their bodies, families and communities. For our 250th episode, Bridgette Jackson, Esq., Director of Public Policy at In Our Own Voice: National Black Women's Reproductive Justice Agenda, Katherine Olivera, Director of Government Relations at the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, and Fajer Saeed Ebrahim, Senior Policy Manager at the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum (NAPAWF), sit down to talk with us about the reproductive justice policy agenda. Happy Black History Month! This February we’re celebrating the rich heritage & culture of Black and African American communities - and honoring the long history of Black-led movements that have challenged racism in this country. We’re committed to solidarity with Black communities so we all can be free.

The White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders has been closed, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility initiatives are being eliminated across the federal government. These are attacks on the idea that the government should work for and represent everyone–no matter your language, heritage, or ability. We must stay vigilant, speak out, and continue fighting for a government that serves all of us.

Medicaid provides coverage for 4.5 million Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders across the country. But some members of Congress are planning massive cuts to pay for tax cuts on the wealthy. On today's day of action, we're calling on our communities tell your Representative and Senators to protect Medicaid: https://lnkd.in/eqMAuhtE
