MDRC needed a modern upgrade for their new NYC office. Nanometer’s NanoTex Perimeter was just the lighting solution they needed. The Perimeter is a wall-to-ceiling fixture that runs the edges of a space to illuminate while also serving as a subtle wayfinding element. In this case, the Perimeter leads from the elevators through the glass curtain wall into the reception area and even does some gentle wall-washing. The NanoTex Perimeter is also completely seamless, even around corners, for illumination that's clean and fluid, while its bespoke design unifies and celebrates each unique space. Adobe wanted its new floor of office space in its Times Square location to reflect its energetic, vibrant surroundings, creating a space that reflected its values of seamlessness, inclusivity, and innovation. Nanometer worked alongside Syska Hennessy Group and M Moser Associates to make this vision a reality. Nanometer used Pixel Controlled NanoFleck LEDs behind custom-made Arktura panels in their entryway and in their "Campfire" presentation and gathering space. Gently animated lighting creates a dynamic ambience that serves as a natural focal point in the Campfire, while the carefully arranged narrow beam RGBW LEDs in the entry form a beautiful dappled effect like sunlight coming through leaves. Accenture wanted their New York office to serve as "part case study, part living lab." To celebrate innovation, they wanted to turn the ceiling of this shared space into an animated centerpiece. Together with Color Kinetics, Nanometer created a custom substrate and power and distribution racks for a continuous luminous ceiling panel. Nanometer also developed the animation program to showcase the system's fluid capabilities and range of colors. Behind a PVC diffuser, the ambient animations become dreamy and cloudlike. 114 West 47th Street, on New York’s Corporate Row, was struggling to stand out with an outdated, 1980s-era entranceway that read as dark and unwelcoming. To breathe new life into this building while still honoring some of its original characteristics, FXCollaborative created a lobby full of warm marble and wood tones. But to really open up and modernize the space, the key necessity was light. Nanometer created this backlit entrance portal to welcome visitors immediately, leading them into the refurbished lobby as the panels transcend the exterior glass wall. Using #nanoboard fixtures mounted behind 100% recycled glass, the portal bathes each visitor in light as they step inside. Because NanoBoard fixtures are pre-mounted and pre-wired, they can be easily integrated into even the most challenging of configurations, and their low profile meant that the size of the original portal did not have to be compromised. Now, the building’s original medallion can be seen much more clearly from the street thanks to the NanoBoard installation.
