?Grateful for my NAMIC community? Last month I had the pleasure of attending the NAMIC 38th National Conference held in NY. This year’s NAMIC National Conference was an incredible experience filled with powerful insights and meaningful connections. Hearing from inspiring leaders across the media industry was truly motivating, and I left feeling more energized than ever to continue driving inclusion and change in our industry while being my authentic self. One of the highlights for me was participating in the leadership workshop, where I had the opportunity to connect with chapter leaders from across the country. The collaboration and exchange of ideas were invigorating and reminded me of the collective strength of the NAMIC community. Grateful for the experiences and team building, and inspired to bring these learnings back to our Atlanta chapter. On a local level, I’m especially proud that our NAMIC - ATLANTA, INC. Chapter hosted our annual Mae Douglas Award Ceremony a few weeks ago, celebrating and honoring local leaders who exemplify inclusion, empower our community, and embody servant leadership. It was an honor to recognize the award recipients, hear their stories, and see their transformative impact. Kevin brings over 20 years of experience in telecommunications and program management, with an impressive career spanning industry leaders like Comcast, Cox Communications, and Microsoft, where he currently serves as an?Engineering Technical Program Manager. His unwavering commitment to?Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)?sets him apart. At Microsoft, Kevin co-chairs external partnerships for HOLA (Hispanic & Latinx Organization of Leaders in Action) and mentors in BAM (Blacks at Microsoft). Beyond his corporate work, Kevin is deeply invested in mentoring Metro Atlanta students in?STEM?fields, helping develop future industry leaders.
