Congratulations Klein's Pharmacy and team captain, Mitchell Ray! The Molly Cup is presented to the Mental Health Provider Team who raises the most money during NAMIWalks. Klein's Pharmacy raised $6,428.00 for NAMI Summit County during the NAMIWalks Summit County walk season. The Molly Cup is named in honor of Molly Hespenheide who passed away in 2013. She was a psychiatric nurse at Akron General and an avid supporter of NAMI's mission. Thank you Klein's Pharmacy for supporting our mission of improving the quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education, and advocacy.

Congratulations to our newest class of CIT graduates! We help local first responders understand various mental illnesses as part of their Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training. After their training, the team graduates and are ready to help our communities! Our NAMI family member Christa Smith spoke about the importance of CIT and shared her family's experience. CIT training aims to de-escalate mental health crises and reduce harm to the person in crisis, as well as the first responders. CIT partners law enforcement with local mental health providers, advocates, and peers living with a mental health condition with the goal of getting treatment for those experiencing mental health crises rather than incarceration.
