NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, adolescents, adults, and families affected by mental illness through recovery-focused support, education, and advocacy. NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania is the official state organization in Pennsylvania for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. As the state organization, NAMI Keystone Pennsylvania is the main point of contact for 34 NAMI affiliates across the Commonwealth, including NAMI Southwestern Pennsylvania, which serves the 10 counties in the Southwest region. Recognized as a thought leader on mental illness, NAMI believes that recovery from mental illness is possible. NAMI champions improvements to the mental health system and promotes acceptance and understanding of mental illness.

On April 16, there is a virtual NAMI Ending the Silence (ETS) Presenter Training. NAMI ETS is a free, evidence-based mental health awareness presentation designed for middle and high school students, school staff, and parents or guardians of middle or high school-aged youth. This training will teach volunteers how to present a NAMI ETS presentation. All applicants must have the endorsement of their NAMI Affiliate and Act 33/Act 34 clearances. Are you interested in making a difference in your community by becoming a NAMI Support Group Facilitator? On April 23-24, there is a virtual facilitator training that will teach volunteers how to lead the group. NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups are peer-based support groups for adults living with a mental health diagnosis. They are led by two trained facilitators who are in recovery and are at a point where they want to give back to others by offering encouragement and support through their own experiences.
