Namaste Solar is an employee-owned cooperative. At Namaste Solar, that means any employee can be a co-owner if they choose. If they choose to buy in to the company, they then have one share and one vote – meaning no one can buy any more shares than anyone else. This ensures voting power that is equal across all co-owners, regardless of position. Our co-owners participate in owner meetings, can run to be on our board of directors, and use their voting power to make important company decisions. Every employee-owned cooperative looks a bit different, but Namaste Solar’s model is focused on cooperative ownership, democratic decision-making, and extreme transparency. https://hubs.li/Q02WwGkX0

The idea is that directing more resources to those who can’t host residential solar on their roofs would expand renewable energy, lower costs for consumers, support good paying green jobs, and help with climate mitigation.
