This morning, we were joined by Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll and Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities, Ed Augustus for an insightful presentation on the recently released Unlocking Housing Production Commission Report. ? Joined by NAIOP members Levi Reilly of Marcus Partners and David Linhart of Goulston & Storrs we discussed recommendations included in the report and the specific legislative and regulatory changes needed to increase the supply of housing in Massachusetts. ICYMI: On Friday, February 21, 2025 the Unlocking Housing Production Commission?released?its?recommendations?for specific legislative, regulatory and policy changes designed to increase Massachusetts' housing supply. ? The Commission was created by Executive Order in late 2023 to advise the Healey-Driscoll administration on how state and local laws, regulations, and practices could be revised to increase the supply of housing across income levels and the state. Commission members included NAIOP CEO Tamara Small and NAIOP members Levi Reilly of Marcus Partners; David Linhart of Goulston & Storrs; and Jeanne Pinado of Colliers; as well as leaders from local government, business, and community organizations. The report’s findings will shape NAIOP’s advocacy on housing production in Massachusetts.? ?
