NAIOP’s 36th annual Broker of the Year Awards ceremony was held last night at River Oaks Country Club. These awards honors brokers who have made tremendous strides within the commercial real estate industry. We are proud of both our awards finalists and winners, as they exemplify exceptionalism within this industry. We congratulate the following winners for their hard work and dedication.?? ? Christopher G. Oliver, Vice Chairman at Cushman & Wakefield, received our 2023 Office Broker of the Year award for his unparalleled passion and successfulness in tenant representation and related types of commercial real estate.?? ? Travis Land, SIOR, Partner in Industrial Brokerage Services at Partners, was awarded 2023 Industrial Broker of the Year. Land has shown to be a consistent top producer in the marketplace, adding significant value throughout the transaction process.? ? The 2023 Office Rising Star award was given to?Charles Dorfman, Senior Associate at Cushman & Wakefield. Dorfman has demonstrated a hard work ethic and rapid growth in the past 2.5 years of working at Cushman & Wakefield. Both inside and outside the office Dorfman shows dedication to excellence. ? Will Clay, a Vice President of Industrial Brokerage Services at JLL, received the 2023 Industrial Rising Star award for his efficiency at guiding clients through the complex real estate process and leading them to make the most efficient decisions for their business.? The JLL team including?Ronnie Deyo,?Beau Bellow, and?Lonna Jenks?won this year’s Office Deal of the Year for their accomplishments in the Dow Chemical lease. In 2023, this JLL team commenced a 203,420 SF build-to-suit on the last available site in CityCentre.? Finally, the 2023 Industrial Deal of the Year Award was given to Newmark’s?Rob Stillwell?for his contribution to the Igloo Distribution Center transaction. Stillwell led the facilitation of Igloo’s new expansion of their distribution center. Expanding the space by 680,000 SF, this new facility was one of the largest completed in the Houston area in 2023 at a total of 1,072,393 SF.?
