Last week, we had the honor of celebrating with the Sports Foundation as they marked 55 years of serving youth through after-school and summer programs, abuse prevention initiatives, and more. Congratulations on your decades of commitment to empowering young people in our communities! We are also deeply grateful for your recognition of great leaders, including our COO, Richard Izquierdo, who received the Community Leadership Award. It is through the dedication of leaders like him that we achieve true change and meaningful impact for the greater good.

We’re excited to share that our COO, Richard Izquierdo, has been honored with the Eugenio Maria de Hostos Award by the National Puerto Rican Association! Eugenio Maria de Hostos was a trailblazer—a Puerto Rican educator and activist who championed freedom and education. Just like Hostos, Richard is all about making a difference and lifting up our community. His dedicated leadership at the Neighborhood Association for Inter-Cultural Affairs and in the community truly embodies the spirit of this award. As poet Juan Antonio Corretjer said, "En mi alma siempre estarás como la luz, como la esperanza," reflecting the perseverance and spirit of Puerto Rican achievement.
