NACC maintains one of the largest relational databases of standardized clinical and neuropathological research data.
关于我们
The National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center was established in 1999 by the National Institute on Aging/NIH to facilitate collaborative research. Using data collected from NIA-funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers (ADRCs) across the United States, NACC has developed and maintains a large relational database of standardized clinical and neuropathological research data. In partnership with the Alzheimer's Disease Genetics Consortium (ADGC), the National Centralized Repository for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (NCRAD), and the NIA Genetics of Alzheimer's Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS), NACC provides a valuable resource for both exploratory and explanatory Alzheimer's disease research. NACC data are freely available to all researchers.

Alzheimer's is not just a disease; it's a cause that touches every family, community, and society worldwide. Whether you're providing care for a loved one, volunteering, or contributing to research, your role is pivotal in positively impacting the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has embraced and championed the message of Alzheimer's awareness!??? ? We warmly welcome everyone to share your stories and resources in the comments. Together, we can cultivate a more resilient, supportive environment for those impacted.???
Alzheimer’s is personal for me having lost my dad to the disease in 2020. World Alzheimer’s Day yesterday was a great opportunity to reflect on where we are as a field and the critical challenges and opportunities ahead. Although enormous challenges remain for ending Alzheimer’s disease, the advent of disease modifying therapies and more accessible early detection technologies has given us more and more reasons for hope. I am incredibly proud of the work that the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center is doing together with the National Institute Of Aging’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers Program and our interoperability partners to advance the field. The comprehensive standardized multimodal data that NACC is integrating and making easily and freely available via the NACC Data Front Door has a critical role to play in empowering the global research community to effectively tackle the most pressing challenges in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Discover what data is available at naccdata.org and join the fight to #EndAlz!

Global dementia cases are forecasted to triple by 2050, yet there are too few breakthroughs in treatment and early diagnoses available to everyone who needs them. A new pilot program aims to change that. The National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) within the University of Washington Department of Epidemiology, is aligning partners to increase accessible Alzheimer's and related dementias research. Gates Ventures and NACC awarded $1.4 million to teams from Oregon Health & Science University and Stanford University. The selected research projects were chosen via a public pitch competition judged by digital health experts across industry, government, and academia. Learn more about these research projects and how they can transform Alzheimer's research. #PublicHealth #Alzheimers #AlzheimersResearch https://lnkd.in/gyxsB3by
