If everyone that had a brain injury was in the largest NFL stadium, they would fill 1,000 stadiums! that's 1 in 4 people that have a brain injury! It's a silent epidemic with visible impact. With our current funding, states only get 200,000 for the WHOLE state to support people with brain Injuries. that's the equivalent of $3/year that goes towards research for each person with a brain injury. $3! We have a long way to go! Our work matters because we matter. I like to think there is a reason I'm still here and get to do this work. our lives are fragile and can change in an instant. We need MORE research and MORE lifetime supports for brain injury. Without any of those, loved ones with a brain injury will needlessly suffer avoidable pain.

Here are some tips and actionable items to help you protect your vision and create a safer work environment: Follow the 20-20-20 Rule: Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet away while using a digital screen. This helps reduce digital eye strain. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water and use artificial tears if needed to keep your eyes moist and comfortable. Wear Protective Eyewear: If your job involves exposure to flying debris, chemicals, or bright lights, always wear appropriate safety glasses or goggles. Adjust Your Workspace: Ensure your computer screen is at eye level and about an arm's length away. Use anti-glare screens and adjust the brightness to reduce eye strain. Schedule Regular Eye Exams: Regular check-ups with an eye doctor can help detect and address any vision problems early on. NAARSO Certifications require an eye exam!
