? Reflecting on an incredible experience at our annual ERG/CRG Onsite Summit! ? This year’s summit was an amazing blend of connection, collaboration, and celebration. I’m leaving it feeling inspired, energized, and ready to take on what’s next. Here are a few personal highlights: ?? Connecting with Ebenezer Asmah, my international co-chair from London. Being able to meet face-to-face after collaborating virtually is a game-changer. We had some meaningful conversations about enhancing our global impact and fostering inclusion on an even broader scale. ?? Speaking on a panel about best practices and strategies. It was an honor to share insights with my peers about building successful initiatives, creating value for our employees, and driving alignment with organizational goals. The thoughtful questions from the audience made it even more rewarding! ?? Collaborating with other CRGs. One of the most powerful aspects of the summit was the opportunity to strategically align with other groups. By working together, we’re finding new ways to create meaningful change while staying aligned with Everest’s broader mission and goals. ?? Hosting our first "Meet Your Co-Chairs" happy hour. As part of our Black History Month celebrations, we organized this event to bring people together in a casual, welcoming space. The turnout exceeded our expectations, and the energy in the room was electric! It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of building connections and fostering community. This summit was not just about advancing initiatives—it was about celebrating what makes our organization and its people unique. ??Celebrating Unity on Martin Luther King Jr. Day?? Today, NAAIA Houston proudly joined the 47th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, hosted by the Black Heritage Society, to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Together, we marched, stood tall, and embraced the powerful message of unity, justice, and hope. In the face of a brisk cold snap, our community came together, undeterred, to support this vital cause—a testament to the shared belief that a better world is not just a dream but an achievable goal when we unite in purpose. As we reflect on Dr. King's enduring wisdom, let his words guide us: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Let this be a call to action, a reminder that love and light must lead our way as we continue striving for equity and understanding in our communities.
