关于我们
The National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) was organized to create a network among minorities who are employed by insurance-related organizations or self-employed in the insurance industry. Pooling this wealth of talent contributes to the growth of the association and its members through sharing of professional experience, knowledge, and information. NAAIA will attempt, on a continuous basis, to promote professionalism in a manner that will lead to industry recognition and future career opportunities. NAAIA shall coordinate the national efforts of the African-American insurance organizations and professionals. NAAIA founded its Greater Hartford Chapter in January 2017, with a mission of creating a network of insurance professionals within the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area to foster career and business opportunities. As a trade association, the Chapter’s membership includes executives, agents, brokers, attorneys, underwriters, and other professionals in insurance-related fields who either work or live in Connecticut. Today, our focus is on promoting the insurance industry through a variety of educational, civic, and social activities that support career advancement and business development within the communities comprising the geographical area we serve. While Black History Month may be over, the importance of learning and celebrating Black history shouldn't be confined to just one month; Black contributions and experiences are relevant and impactful every single day. NAAIA - Greater Hartford Chapter celebrated contributions to the Insurance Industry by spotlighting some of our best insurance leaders in Connecticut. Our chapter members, friends and allies made our own black history by doing another JA in a Day event in partnership with Junior Achievement of Southwest New England at a Hartford Public Schools S.A.N.D. School. Our chapter is about making an impact in our community and this year was no different! Thank you Lisa Cowell for your support to make this event successful. Our Programs Committee is amazing… thank you Andrea, Amayia, and Aliena! And thanks to our Membership Committee for getting members out to volunteer… thank you Tracy, Jamaal and Tamara! Such a great start of our programming year! Thank you to all of our members who are celebrating and making Black history every day!
