As we wrapped up the final day of Black History Month, the NAAIA Florida Chapter came together for a night of celebration, connection, and culture at Matchbox in Sunrise, Florida—a Black-owned restaurant. The energy in the room was electric as we welcomed both new and existing members, strengthening our community and reinforcing our shared mission. The night was filled with engaging conversations, laughter, and, most importantly, learning. We tested our knowledge with trivia focused on Black Wall Street and the history of Black professionals in the insurance industry. The competition was fierce, and it challenged us to reflect on the rich legacy of Black entrepreneurship and financial empowerment. And what’s a celebration without music? Our Black History Month playlist kept the vibes high, bringing out the fun side of everyone. It was a reminder of the power of music to unite and uplift our community.
