This Women's History Month, we are proud to highlight Jasmine Guy (she,her,hers), an inspiring leader, change agent, and trailblazer in the HR profession. With over two decades of experience spanning higher education, professional services, and local government, Jasmine has solidified herself as a powerful advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
Jasmine's journey into HR was driven by a deep passion for creating inclusive spaces where individuals from all backgrounds can thrive. She served as the Immediate Past President of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) Chicago Chapter, and her leadership continues to leave a lasting impact on the organization and its mission.
Currently, Jasmine serves as the Senior Equity Officer for the Chicago Fire Department and is the Principal of Guydelines Consulting Group, LLC. Her vast experience in talent management, community engagement, and organizational transformation has allowed her to design and lead impactful HR, change management, and DEIB initiatives, ensuring all employees feel valued and supported in their work environments.
Jasmine's extensive background includes previous roles such as Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at CCS Fundraising, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Major, Lindsey & Africa, and Diversity and Inclusion Specialist at Foley & Lardner LLP. Additionally, she serves as an educator and mentor, teaching HR management at National Louis University and guiding the next generation of leaders through various boards and councils.
Her dedication to her profession and community has earned Jasmine numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Illinois' Top 50 Women Leaders and Business Elite’s 40 Under 40 Global Leaders. She has also received awards such as the Chicago United’s Business Leaders of Color Award and the Chicago Defender’s Women of Excellence Award.
