Saturday March 30th at L.A. Union Station was a monumental day as Cesar Chavez was celebrated with this event hosted by Presidential Candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr. NHCA-CA had a role in providing recognition to bring some light to Cesar Chavez activism and the effect it still has to this day. Mr. Kennedy shared some great stories and facts that I am certain very few knew about the legend that is Cesar Chavez. This event served as a great support to RFK Jr and what to expect from him and his efforts as he pursues a Presidential Bid. #cesarchavez #viva24 #vote #diversity #workforcedevelopment #inclusion #construction #constructionindustry #nhcaca #safetyvibe #modernreign #launionstation #traxx

In February of 1968 Cesar Chavez embarked on a 25-day water fast. The fast was to bring attention to the non-violent stance, a vow that was required to be taken by the fellow strikers. Cesar Chavez obligation to the movement was evident to the responsibility that he assumed. Cesar drew national attention and mustarded up support from other Hispanics, minority, civil rights organizations, unions, church activists, as well as students. Cesar Chavez's turned to boycotting, table grapes, which triggered a movement all across North America. Join Bobby Kennedy Jr on Saturday March 30th to celebrate this iconic legend. #cesarchavez #equality #nonviolence #nhcaca #vote #inclusion #movement #unions #workforce https://lnkd.in/gqbnxdTB

Baltimore Bridge Collapse... At a time were the growing concern from many politicians, if whether or not immigrants can be an essential or burden to our country. In this instance we must recognize and remember the 6 lives lost in this Tragic American Disaster. An American Disaster where the lives that paid the ultimate price were Hispanic Men (immigrants), These men were working on the bridge when the collusion took place that early morning. It has been reported that these men were from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, men here to be part of a work force in our Construction Industry. Rest In Peaces my brothers. #marylandtough #baltimorestrong #workforce #constructionindustry

Cesar Estrada Chavez was born in Yuma, Arizona, in 1927, to a farm-labor family of Mexican descent. He served for two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II,?then returned to migrant work in the Southwest and California In 1965 Chavez and the N.F.W.A. initiated a California grape workers' strike backed by a national consumer boycott of California grapes. In 1966, the N.F.W.A. merged with the AFL-CIO to form a new union that since 1971 has been known as the United Farm Workers of America (U.F.W.). Join Robert F Kennedy Jr. to commemorate Cesar Chavez and the celebrate the activist that was a legend amongst the Hispanic Community.
