Good Evening LinkedIn Family, I would like to take the time today to reflect on my past weekend, in which I’ve had the amazing opportunity to attend Deloitte’s 3rd Annual Making Accounting Diverse and Equitable (MADE) Summit in Westlake, TX at Deloitte University. I had the pleasure of connecting, communicating, and competing with fellow finance and accounting students from universities all across the nation. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with several employees at Deloitte, such as James Shelton, CPA and Lillian Lor Chie, CPA who’ve provided me with significant insight on day-to-day life within their respective fields within the company. ?? The theme of the summit, “Passport to Possibilities” stuck with me throughout the event. Being encouraged to embrace the “N.O.W”, saying No to distractions, being Okay being your authentic self, and being Willing to invest in your future. I would like to thank Malissa L. Good morning to my LinkedIn connections and other's passing by. This past Friday - Saturday I had the opportunity to attend the MADE Leadership Summit at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas. Here we participated in fun workshops like starting our own business and creating a pitch to sell to Deloitte professionals. Speaking of the Deloitte professionals I got to meet individuals like senior manager Donnieka McCall, CPA and senior assistant Alicia Jones as well as Keldrick L. Stephens who informed me what skills I needed to be a future Deloitte professional. I would love to thank Malissa L. Davis for the invitation and investing in my future.

Today I wrapped up my time as a DEI Intern at Hilton’s Worldwide Corporate Headquarters, I’m filled with gratitude and reflection. This internship has been a transformative experience, far beyond what I could have imagined. Working on additional projects in Diversity Recruitment, Early Talent Partnerships, and contributing to the Hilton Honors app, HRX, and reporting has been incredibly rewarding. But what truly made this journey special was the chance to immerse myself in DEI benchmarking, research, and strategy implementation. Being able to foster meaningful partnerships with universities and witness the tangible impact of our efforts was inspiring. To cap it all off, we closed the week by connecting with the Memphis and Dallas interns and participating in the Executive Speaker Series with Chris Nassetta, Hilton’s CEO. Hearing his vision and insights was the perfect end to an already incredible experience. A tremendous thank you to my team(Edwin Aguilar, Aja H., Kristen J. (Wells) Scott, Erica Cary, Gretchen Stroud)I owe a deep thank you to my mentor Chloe Hayter, M.A., PMP whose guidance was a constant source of encouragement. To the everyone in Early Talent Partnerships (Tracy C., Jennifer Nesbit, Darrian Slater, M.S., Sarah Reid Fletcher, Julia Gaiser, Priscilla Mint, Taylor Pritts,Magen Bentley) your belief in my potential allowed me to grow in ways I never expected. Last week, I had the honor of presenting our internship capstone project alongside my talented colleagues, Katherine Heyka and Kaitlyn Firasek, in front of Walmart Inc.'s Global Audit Department. This experience was not just a presentation; it was a profound learning opportunity that pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new challenges. Our capstone project centered on the Audit Lifecycle and our interaction with it at each phase of our projects. Preparing to present our findings to such a distinguished audience was both exhilarating and daunting. However, the theme of our presentation—embracing challenges and seizing opportunities—resonated deeply with me throughout this journey. It reminded me that growth often lies on the other side of our comfort zones. Standing in front of the Global Audit Department, I felt a mix of nerves and excitement. It was a moment that demanded confidence, clarity, and the ability to convey our insights effectively. Through this experience, I learned the importance of thorough preparation, teamwork, and the power of clear communication. I am grateful for the support and collaboration of Katherine and Kaitlyn, whose insights and dedication were invaluable. Hello LinkedIn, Today I did my final presentation showing the work and experience I had during my summer internship at Cummins Inc. This summer was filled was memorable experiences and I met a lot of amazing people that I will be forever grateful for. During my time here in Columbus, Indiana I was a On-Highway Sales Intern was my projects were focused on government entities and also the dump truck segment on EBU. Outside of work, I made some amazing people from all over the country and made great memories! To the EBU interns, you guys made my summer so impactful and you all welcomed me with open arms . It was great collaborating with you all on the BBQ with the EBU event . To think how small that project was first given to us , to see how many people were impacted was remarkable! Hope nothing but the best for you all ! Continue to grow and hope to see you again next summer! Huge shoutout to my manager Obed Ruiz ! You made my process from college to the corporate world as smooth as possible! I wouldn’t want to have no other manager. Not only are you a good manager, but even better person ! Greetings! I'm a motivated Freshman enrolled at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a GPA of 3.85. Throughout my academic journey, I've actively participated in the N.C. A&T Exceptional Males in Business organization, honing my skills and gaining valuable insights from the esteemed N.C. A&T Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics. As I embark on this exciting chapter of my career, I'm eagerly seeking an internship opportunity that aligns with my passion and expertise. My goal is to apply the knowledge and skills I've acquired to make meaningful contributions in a professional setting. This past weekend I competed in the 2024 Emerging Leaders Program at Deloitte University! I am so grateful to have had this opportunity and to be able to network with so many like minded HBCU students and professionals. My presentation, communication, and other professional skills continue to develop with each experience. I am leaving full and prepared bring everything back to my university. I look forward to more of these opportunities in the future and I am excited to be interning with Deloitte this summer!
