"I don’t think I could have dealt with my vision loss and succeeded in law school and accomplished my career goals without the help of organizations like VCB," said former VCB client Leticia. After graduating from law school, Leticia reached out to VCB and the State Department of Rehabilitation to receive the tools and training she needed to not only study for the State Bar of California Exam, but also to start her dream career. Last year, she was admitted to the State Bar of California and is now an attorney helping disadvantaged communities. Your donation towards our #GivingTuesday campaign gives people like Leticia the career opportunities they aspire to have. Donate today at myvcb.org to make an impact this holiday season. Don't miss out! The first 10 people who donate $50 or more towards our Giving Tuesday campaign will receive a pair of VCB sunglasses as a thank you for contributing to a brighter future. Join VCB in congratulating Tom Randall on over 20 years of impact in our community. Tom started out as a volunteer at VCB and later became an Assistive Technology Instructor, improving the quality of life for hundreds of people with vision loss through his depth of knowledge, aptitude for educating, and spirit of kindness. While the news of him starting his next exciting career chapter at Fresno State is bittersweet, VCB is thrilled to honor Tom’s service to people who are blind by renaming our A-T instruction area in the Fresno office to "The Tom Randall Center for Technology." We unveiled this surprise to Tom on his last day and appreciate all the family and friends that joined us for this memorable occasion. Photo 1: Tom is reading the braille on the silver sign that says "The Tom Randall Center for Technology." Photo 2: Shellena shows Tom the certificate from City of Fresno Mayor Dyer. Photo 3: Staff, clients, and friends of Tom are smiling in the VCB living room. There are blue lunch tables in front of the group. The whiteboard says "Congrats on the new job, Tom! We'll miss you!"
