Thank you to all of our team members who rocked their brightly colored and mismatched socks today for World Down Syndrome Day! March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have three copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of Down syndrome chromosomes looks like mismatched socks. Today is Match Day, the day when medical students across the country learn the results of the National Resident Matching Program? (NRMP?) to see what Graduate Medical Education (GME) program they’ll begin their training at this summer. In addition to welcoming our incoming residents at our Match Day event, we will also celebrate the fellows who have already matched through the Fellowship Match process.
