    IDENTIFY YOUR ONE THING As a leader, extraordinary success comes from focusing on the ONE most important task at a time. In a recent episode of Power Skills For Success, community builder and growth partner Jeanine Suah recommends leveraging this concept from the book The One Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan. ?? Here is how you can put it into action 1?? Ask yourself the focusing question "What's the ONE Thing I can do such that by doing it, everything else will be easier or unnecessary?" 2?? Write down your answer Be specific and focus on one priority that aligns with your goals. 3?? Block time for your ONE thing Dedicate uninterrupted time daily to work on it. Even 30 minutes can lead to significant progress. 4?? Evaluate weekly At the end of the week, review whether focusing on your ONE Thing brought you closer to your goal. Adjust if necessary. ??     ? Does your feedback fall short sometimes? ?Why does your team seem discouraged by feedback? ?? Tip: Make sure you don't use negative language in your feedback. Instead, highlight the positive aspects before you provide constructive comments. ? You missed the deadline again. This is becoming a problem. ? Your work is valuable, and I know you have the ability to meet deadlines. Let's discuss how we can ensure this doesn’t happen next time. ? Your presentation lacked detail and wasn’t clear enough. ? Your presentation had great insights. To make it even stronger, adding a bit more detail in the analysis could really help clarify your points. ? You didn’t follow the instructions, and it caused delays. ? I noticed there were a few differences from the instructions. Let’s review them together so we can align and prevent any delays in the future. Next time you give feedback, ?instead of focusing on flaws, focus on the opportunity for improvement.     FEEDBACK = GROWTH Research shows that teams led by managers who actively seek feedback are 12% more productive. As a leader, asking for feedback means both you and your team perform better. But simply asking for feedback isn't enough - you need to ask the right questions. Tip: Instead of general questions like "Do you have any feedback for me?" - ask specific, open-ended questions like: "What's one thing I could improve on in our weekly meetings?" "Is there anything I’ve done recently that could have been handled differently?" "What else did I miss?" Asking thoughtful, open-ended questions shows you're ready to embrace constructive feedback and encourages others to be vulnerable enough to share their true thoughts.
