Thanks to Glenn Lindley for including MyStandard in the TA ecosystem map. We're honored to be recognized and in the mix with these great players.
I am heading to the Computer History Museum today for Silicon Valley TechRecruit. So, I will tie that loosely to a LinkedIn post about History ??. Just for fun, what else was in your 2004 TA Tech Stack? I started in TA in 2006 with an in-house database, Monster, TotalJobs, and a fledgling LinkedIn. credit to Leah Fitzgerald her comment yesterday prompted this!

If anyone's doing something new and very interesting in #TalentAcquisition it's this guy, Joshua Sklüt of MyStandard. In this discussion, we explore #recruiterenablement AND then take a look at MyStandard, which is attempting to move recruiting to a blockchain solution which allows employers to PAY candidates for access to their data. Josh, a seasoned recruiter and co-founder of MyStandard, emphasizes that recruiter enablement involves providing recruiters with the tools and resources needed to perform their roles effectively and focus on relationship-building rather than administrative tasks. He notes that a potential future role could be a "TA procurement specialist," dedicated to researching and implementing the best tech tools for talent acquisition, freeing recruiters to focus on high-touch interactions with candidates. Josh also discusses his preference for an all-in-one tool for recruitment, though he acknowledges the reality that specialized tools often do certain tasks better. We agree that the variety in recruiting tasks can make recruiters prefer handling a 360-degree role, where they guide candidates from initial contact to hiring. The conversation then shifts to MyStandard, a tool aimed at transforming recruitment by eliminating resumes and reducing bias in hiring. Using blockchain technology, MyStandard allows candidates to remain anonymous until a job match is found, giving them control over their data and even compensating them when a company accesses it. This approach addresses challenges with both passive candidates and employers who may struggle to attract talent due to lesser brand visibility. MyStandard offers tailored candidate connections, which Josh believes will benefit companies of all sizes by prioritizing skill and fit over traditional resume details. Josh’s solution provides a streamlined and less biased recruitment process, which could significantly shift the way both candidates and employers engage in the hiring journey. The tool is particularly beneficial for passive candidates and smaller or less-known companies seeking high-quality talent. What do you think? Are you ready for this? I can see loads of advantages..
