This Healthcare Workforce Well-Being Day, consider that: 82% of healthcare professionals say the number one way they manage stress is by spending time with family. And yet, 94% have had to miss family events — including graduations, weddings and even funerals — due to their work. You can support #HealthWorkerWellBeing today (and every day) by embracing independent professionals on the ShiftKey platform. ShiftKey is not just for meeting increased demand. You can engage independent professionals through the platform when your team needs PTO, whether they request it in advance or need it in a pinch. Follow @theNAMedicine for additional tips on how you can support your team and @OnShift to learn how to build and implement an employee listening program. Together, let’s create a more sustainable system for healthcare workers, which will lead to better outcomes for patients and residents.

?????? A few facts about women in healthcare today: ?? 70% of healthcare workers are women, but they hold only 25% of healthcare leadership roles ??? In healthcare, the gender pay gap is around 29% greater than in other industries ??Women contribute $1.5 trillion of unpaid healthcare ?? Women provide up to 4X more unpaid care than men* We’ve been championing choice, freedom and access in this industry since day one. Our technology can help, but it’s just one part of the solution. To fully support women in healthcare, facilities, policymakers and healthcare workers must work together to address the real issues affecting women and women at work. Follow UN Women to learn more about those issues and find out how you can get involved. #ForAllWomenAndGirls #IWD2025 #WomenInHealthcare *stats from ThinkGlobalHealth.org

Today, on National Caregivers Day, we want to take a moment to speak about what caregiving means to our society and recognize the toll it’s taking on those who provide care. Our recent “Solutions to Healthcare Burnout Report” found that 81% of healthcare workers have personal caretaking responsibilities in addition to their professional duties. When asked how they manage their caregiving obligations, 64% said balancing caregiving responsibilities outside of work with their professional duties is difficult. A recent University of Michigan poll found that one in four adults over 50 provides unpaid, personal caregiving to friends and family. Much of this work is unpaid. Two-thirds of it is provided by women. In the U.S., this unpaid care is worth more than $1 trillion per year. As families, friends, and colleagues continue to get older, more caregivers will be required to meet the need. If we’re not already, we may become caregivers ourselves. Caregivers are not all right — they have higher rates of depression, anxiety, and heart disease, and they experience other negative health outcomes. Visit https://lnkd.in/eJg3Dhst to learn more about how to care for the caregivers in your life and connect with caregiver resources. If you’re a caregiver, thank you. We see you, and we appreciate you.
