We’re proud to share that Serenity Kids was recently highlighted in the Los Angeles Times and CNN, with our CEO and Co-founder Serenity Carr sharing her perspective on California’s Assembly Bill 899. This topic is of great interest to parents and caregivers because it requires manufactures to publish levels of heavy metals in products intended for baby & toddler products sold in the state of California. At Serenity Kids, the health and safety of babies is our top priority, which is why we’re leading the way in raising the standards for baby food: ? We have been Clean Label Project Verified since 2020. ? We require all suppliers to pre-test high risk ingredient categories and to provide certificates of analysis before we purchase them. ? We test final production lots to ensure no contamination has occurred during production. ? We are implementing the California requirement nationally. All our products produced starting in January 2025 will carry an on-pack bar code linked to our website for testing results. As Serenity Carr explained to the LA Times: “The baby food industry has been waiting for FDA guidance for years. I have petitioned them myself. So it feels good that California has taken the first step towards a set of requirements to keep babies healthy.” This new California law is creating much-needed momentum for the baby food industry, driving innovation, transparency, and accountability — and we’re proud to be at the forefront of these changes. We’re honored to have our voice included in this important conversation, and we remain committed to providing the most carefully crafted, nutrient-dense food for babies everywhere.
