? This month we are excited to spotlight Lynsey-jane Harris, our amazing Operations Manager! ? Our longest serving employee outside of our Managing Director, Lynsey is approaching her twentieth year at Target Professional Services (UK) Ltd. She is in charge of keeping the cogs whirring by overseeing the whole process of each of our tracing solutions—from when data is first sent in, to when the highest-quality products are returned to our clients in line with their SLAs. ?? Starting as a Data Administrator and Tracer in 2005, Lynsey quickly became Training Coordinator, where she developed Target's team of highly skilled trace investigators. Becoming the Operations Manager in 2019, she is now responsible for the daily running of all of the operational departments. Lynsey is known around the office for her infectious energy, dedication and expertise. A brilliant problem-solver, and excellent motivator of her teams and the rest of the company, she is one of the key foundations of Target. She is the first person everyone turns to when they need help-- if anyone is going to know the answer, it's her! ??♀? Lynsey said how "the people make Target what it is—a professional, fun, flexible workplace where we all feel more like family than colleagues. ??Safer Internet Day 2025: How to Protect Yourself and Others Online ?? This year's theme is “Protecting yourself and others from scams online”. Here are our top tips for being safe online, no. 5 is very important!??? In today’s ever-increasing digital world, online scams and identity fraud are more common than ever before. With today being Safer Internet Day in the UK, we want to help keep everyone safe and help you protect yourselves. 1?? Limit Sharing Personal Information: Make sure you’re not oversharing details like your full date of birth or your address on social media (especially on Facebook). Scammers can use these to steal your identity! 2?? Beware of Phishing Scams: Don’t click on any suspicious links or open attachments from people you weren’t expecting. Make sure you check the email addresses and watch out for malicious signs (like spelling mistakes or weird URLs). 3?? Be Cautious with Public Wi-Fi: Never access sensitive accounts like banking apps while you’re connected to public Wi-Fi. Try to use trusted networks, your mobile data or a VPN for more security. 4?? Use Strong Passwords: Cybersecurity’s bread and butter! Try to create different passwords for each account with different characters (i.e. uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, symbols). Top tip—try choosing 3 unrelated words with a number at the end. You can use a secure password manager to store them all, so you don’t forget! 5?? Set-Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Adding another layer of security can keep the scammers out! 2FA needs a second form of verification along with your password like a code sent to your registered phone number. 6?? Check Your Privacy Settings: Regularly review and adjust your privacy settings especially on social media and other platforms that control your information. 7?? Know How to Spot Fake Websites: When you go to click on a link, always check the website URL starts with “https” and not just “http”. Also, look for the padlock icon ?? next to the URL when search a URL before entering any of your details. Let's work together to create a safer internet for everyone. This week we had the pleasure of helping at an event in our local High School; The Academy Selsey, to help year 10 students with mock interviews, building confidence and helping prepare them for life after school.? ? Claire Line from our Customer support team, had this to say about the?day. ? ??"I had the opportunity to spend a morning with year 11 students as part of an Interviewing Skills event, with the objective of developing their interviewing skills. A number of them had prepared a CV which they shared as part of the interviewing process.? ? The students were professional, smart and really listened to the questions and were confident in their answers.? ? Their CVs detailed their strengths and interests and were a great help in targeting the questions specifically to each student. The event was very well organised and it was a pleasure to attend the session where the students made such an effort to make the interviews a success.
