October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, (NDEAM)! The Department of Labor’s #NDEAM theme this year is “Access to Good Jobs for All”, with a goal of ensuring that workers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) have access to good jobs, every month of every year. While we take the month of October to celebrate, we challenge all industries year-round to tap into the talented pool of qualified candidates and hire individuals within the IDD community, not only because it is the right thing to do but because it is also an excellent business investment. Noble was featured in the Love Thy Neighborhood awards aired on WISH-TV this past Wednesday! LISC Indianapolis created the Love Thy Neighborhood Award to recognize and celebrate the community development game changers in the Indianapolis region that transform their neighborhood into authentic places, profoundly attractive and livable for both residents and visitors. Passage Apartments was announced as a finalist, and is being recognized as an impactful project by Englewood Community Development and Noble, with our Moving Forward Career Center and resident involvement.
