Creators of APCA ? Accessible Perceptual Contrast Algorithm—next generation contrast prediction for readability.
关于我们
We are a focused research, design, and development organization. Myndex Perception Research is presently tasked with developing next generation guidelines and technologies for readability of visual content on computer displays and devices. Myndex? Technologies Database & App Dev Creating original, ground up solutions to address the needs of industry, with a special focus on film and television production and post production. We work with Filemaker Pro, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, using the appropriate tool for the application, be it rapid prototyping or high performance and scalability. Myndex? Technologies Industrial Design Creating original designs for consumer products, or engineering designs from third parties. With FEA simulations and testing, we handle projects from sustainable furniture to mobile electronics, to toys. Myndex? Technologies Web Development Creators of ActionCMS?, the lightweight, ultrafast, easy-to-deploy content management system. Action CMS features a very small footprint and is based on a flat file and folder structure, so it operates without the need for any SQL databases or servers. As a result it is ideal for small sites, sites on embedded systems, and systems with limited CPU and Disk resources. Nevertheless it features dynamic pages, automatic breadcrumbs, local web analytics integration, SEO features such as automatic canonical URL meta tags, and much more. Coming Soon: ActionCMS version 2.0! Currently in Beta Testing, v2 offers ultra-fast, mobile-first responsive design!

APCA ? Accessible Perceptual Contrast Algorithm
无障碍工具
Next generation contrast prediction technology for providing useful readability guidance to designers and developers. APCA provides a contrast metric called "Perceptual Lightness Contrast" signified as Lc. APCA is a perceptually uniform contrast measure for text, particularly smaller body text. This means that APCA provides a contrast value that models human perception of contrast across the visual range. This is critically important for determining contrast for Dark Mode (light text on a dark background), and extends to white text on a saturated color background, which some contrast measures incorrectly reject. Because our perception of dark text on a light background (aka light mode or "normal" positive polarity) is perceived differently when the same pair of colors are flipped to light text on a dark background (aka dark mode or "reverse" negative polarity), APCA reports a different Lc value. Dark mode is a negative Lc value.
