关于我们
Mycocycle develops and licenses a process to minimize waste, create new biobased raw materials and reduces greenhouse gases using fungi. By harnessing the power of nature, Mycocycle mitigates risk for manufacturers, governments and waste operators by removing harmful toxins from their industrial waste while creating long-term value within the circular economy. We train mushrooms to eat trash.

Phew, this video was made with short notice, but turned out as a pretty neat introduction to what JLL Foundation does. Have a look! Thanks to Michael Saxton, Dylan Robnett and our amazing portfolio startups for making it happen Kubik, Inc., InventWood, Mycocycle, Inc., Kit Switch and Minus Materials
At this year's #COP29, climate financing to support innovative solutions for decarbonizing the built environment is taking stage. The private sector must be central to efforts. See how the JLL Foundation is filling a crucial gap in early-stage funding by offering zero interest loans to diverse founders who often face barriers to traditional investment. Analysts have been indicating that the most active investment and M&A activity will be in the waste and recycling sectors. Lots of activity, including the final approval of WM acquisition of Stericycle. https://lnkd.in/griDbWfm

#fungifriday Delighted to be included in King Charles III RE:TV “Nature Positive Buildings” segment. Experts: Dave Cheshire of AECOM, Kathleen (Katie) McGinty of Johnson Controls, Jose La Loggia of Trane, Janine Benyus of The Biomimicry Institute, and innovators David Gottfried of Blue Planet , Oskar Norelius of White Arkitekter, and me discuss how our buildings can have the same ecological performance as the nature next door to it. If we promote building design to be regenerative and high performing we can dramatically improve their carbon footprints. Green vegetative roofs and walls operating as water systems. Natural materials and net-positive supply chains reducing carbon emissions. Architecural design promoting longevity, design for deconstruction, and adaptability. These are just three strategies to promote regenerative buildings. The The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has set forth a 2030 Commitment for net zero emissions in the built environment. However, we won’t hit that goal doing what we’ve always done. Critical scope 3 emissions related to waste, manufacturing, and supply chain continue to present the largest opportunities for advancement and innovation. Mycocycle, Inc. appreciates being engaged in the dialogue. I’ve been a part of the built environment community for 30-years. These are not new discussions but they are now urgent. The engineering and design community, the contracting community, and the material manufacturing community need to continue to make investments to advance greenhouse gas reducing technologies like ours. Appreciation to the RE:TV team for highlighting the opportunities in this space. ????
