Here's a story to consider: During the 1953 filming of The Quiet Man, John Ford happened upon the dream money shot - a valley dotted with standard white cottages - a template for idyllic Ireland. Except one cottage was painted pink. Ford sent his team to negotiate the temporary white-washing of the pink cottage and the promise to paint it pink again as soon as filming was in the can. Money changed hands. The next day, Ford arrived on scene to find the pink cottage was now a white cottage - all as agreed and paid for. But the word was out in the market place that change could be profitable. Overnight, every white cottage in his shot had been painted pink. What does this have to do with legal templates? Well we aren't quite sure but it's kinda relevant.
