July is National Make a Difference to Children Month. To celebrate, we will be spotlighting local nonprofit organizations that are making a positive impact on the lives of our youth. My Joyful Heart is a Christian organization that cares for underprivileged children by gifting them basic necessities, school supplies, and toys five times a year. They are located in Mokena and provide gift bags to children in the Chicagoland area. Today we thank them for their generosity. A word from Diane Carroll, founder of My Joyful Heart: "Children are our future yet so many go without the things needed to thrive. When I realized that I could do something about this I did. Starting My Joyful Heart has been life changing for me and for the children enrolled. To see how remembering them throughout the year thrills them beyond description has made me want to do more to ensure they have what is needed to thrive. It’s my mission."
