MY FAVE 5

MY FAVE 5 is a non profit organization registered in the state of Ohio. We developed a mental wellness tool in the form of a mobile app, called MY FAVE FIVE, to help individuals create their network of support. In the summer of 2022, the app was enhanced to include Mindfulness Exercises and education on Coping Mechanisms. The app is offered FREE on the App Store and Google Play to all individuals over the age of 13. Gina Marek is the President and Founder of MY FAVE 5. On February 13, 2016, Gina's son Jacob died by suicide at the age of 15. The family had no warning signs and no diagnosis to know he was struggling. The idea of MY FAVE FIVE started on paper and evolved into a mobile app in the fall of 2019. The MY FAVE FIVE app was initially developed to help teens identify 5 people who they could call in a time of need. After seeing the amount of depression and isolation resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the app was rebranded to be able to offer the tool to everyone, including, but not limited to young adults, adults, veterans, our community, and mental health centers. In the fall of 2023, the MY FAVE FIVE app was further enhanced to include Mindfulness Exercises and education on Coping Mechanisms. The App is FREE and offered to individuals over the age of 13. MY FAVE 5 is a non-profit organization. All funds are raised through donations and used solely for the App development and outreach materials.
