My Deaf Therapy’s clinicians promote health and wellness using a holistic approach to therapy while integrating proven, evidence-based treatment methods. We are experienced clinicians who are ASL fluent, linguistically accessible, and culturally affirmative. Our approach relies on providing a supportive, empathically safe space conducive to healing. Our primary focus is on you and your goals for overall mental wellness. We employ a multimodal approach to holistic healing utilizing mind and body therapies while incorporating evidence-based psychotherapy treatments. At My Deaf Therapy, the approach to the healing process is unique to each client’s needs and experiences. We emphasize the importance of inclusivity and embrace diversity and fluidity of various identities on a number of spectrums (e.g., hearing, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodiverse). We know that acceptance, regardless of how you identify, is fundamental to the healing process. We welcome D/deaf, DeafBlind, DeafDisabled, late-deafened, and hard of hearing individuals and their families. We also serve hearing clients who know sign language such as KODA/CODAs and interpreters. We work together toward achieving lasting, transformative, life-affirming changes.

ALERT: Kansas today became the 7th state to pass the Interstate Licensing Compact Legislation. This is huge news! It means the compact can now be created. The seven states will form a Compact Commission that will govern the compact and ensure coordination between the participating states. Once the Commission is in place, social workers will be able to pursue licensure through the compact, in the participating states. Additional states will be added to the compact as they enact the required legislation and join the Commission. Besides Kansas, the states that have passed the compact are Missouri, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Kentucky and Virginia. We'd like to take the time to thank our Chapter Staff for their hard work with these efforts! The legislation is pending in about 20 other states.
