This week, at Dulles International Airport, we celebrated the launch of Royal Jordanian’s nonstop service from Washington, D.C., to Amman, Jordan, on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. With this new addition, Royal Jordanian becomes the 47th airline currently serving Dulles travelers. MWAA Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Chryssa Westerlund said, “At the core of our mission here at the Airports Authority is bringing new service, new airlines and new options for the people of the greater Washington, D.C., area. We know there are communities with ties across the Middle East that will directly benefit from this new service.” Jordanian Ambassador to the United States Dina Kawar joined in the festivities and said, “This direct flight is more than just a flight. It’s really a milestone in this friendship and relationship we have between Jordan and the U.S. It will serve as a bridge for those traveling home and back and also those who want to discover Jordan. Royal Jordanian’s new route to Washington, D.C., is the airline’s fourth U.S. gateway. #FlyDulles
