With a master’s degree in #architecture and a unique blend of experience in #graphicdesign and computer science, Spencer’s Jack-of-All-Trades nature is his greatest asset to MWA. As part of MWA’s #Sustainability Studio, Spencer’s passion for #reusability and adaption is a testament to his commitment to #sustainabledesign, searching for ways to repurpose underutilized structures. Outside of work, Spencer spends much of his free time dancing. You may find him at contemporary swing dance classes in country and West Coast varieties. The 2024 Housing Oregon Conference?kicks off today! We are excited to attend and to present a panel discussion, Developing a Community for All Ages, on 9/25 at 1:45 p.m. MWA Principal?Bill Lanning?will present with Community Development Partners, EngAGE, Inc., and the Northwest Oregon Housing Authority (#NOHA) on how multigenerational housing can be affordable and support the greater community.

North City Pure Water Facility update! Our team is on-site this week as progress is taking place at this incredible facility. Once complete, the North City Pure Water Facility will treat and purify #wastewater to supplement the City of San Diego's #DrinkingWater supply. Once operational, the new plant will have a production capacity of up to 34 million gallons per day. MWA provided design guidelines for all buildings at the plant, as well as the design of the Operations & Maintenance facility. Broadleaf Arbor's site planning was inspired by the large, preserved wetland on the site’s eastern edge, along with the main highway and commercial district to the west. Project #designers created outdoor spaces with characteristics distinct to each area. To foster community, wellness, and a connection to nature, Broadleaf Arbor #AffordableHousing includes grass fields, picnic and BBQ areas, a kid’s play area, a bocce ball court, a library, a biodiverse #landscape, and a trail system along the site’s edge that borders the lush wetlands.
