As part of the Demand Side Employment Initiative (DSEI), the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) announced MVS, Inc. as an EmployABILITY Business Grant recipient. The EmployABILITY Business Grant provides $20,000-$200,000 in funding to California-based small- and medium-sized businesses to expand their operations by hiring individuals with disabilities.? ? MVS, Inc. provides essentials such as groceries and medical equipment to healthcare facilities. President/CEO Eric Goodman plans to use the funds provided by the EmployABILITY Business Grant to continue to hire individuals with disabilities, purchase accessible equipment, renovate their facility to be ADA-compliant, and implement an internship program. ? “Being an EmployABILITY Champion makes me feel proud because we’ve built our whole business around caring for individuals with disabilities, and now we can be very intentional about including them in our organization as employees,” said Goodman. “It’s an extension of our mission.” ?
