Today, we commemorated the unveiling of the Steven J. DiMeo Conference Room at Wolfspeed’s Mohawk Valley fabrication facility. The event was a tribute to Steve's remarkable contributions and enduring legacy. The DiMeo family, members of the Mohawk Valley EDGE team, and Wolfspeed, gathered to share stories and memories, painting a vivid picture of a man whose dedication and passion left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered. The newly named conference room stands as a testament to Steve’s visionary spirit and commitment to innovation. Thank you Wolfspeed for honoring Steve’s legacy

Oneida County Government is gathering housing data from area residents to better understand the current housing market. This study will allow the County, housing providers, nonprofit organizations, and municipalities to identify barriers to buying or renting a property. Results of the survey will inform the County’s strategies to meet the needs of prospective homeowners, renters, rural residents, and vulnerable, cost-burdened populations. It will ultimately be used to inform the planning process and housing developments that meet market demand and community needs All responses are anonymous and confidential. This week we hosted our 4th public engagement session for the reimagining of St. Luke’s. We discussed the community’s input from our previous sessions and were excited to present our first conceptual designs that were created with the input from our community members. Each design had unique variations of greenspace, housing, pedestrian walkways, parking, and recreation/art space. Although these designs are not set in stone, it was an opportunity for us to take the community’s comments and develop them into a vision to share. We appreciate the engagement from our community. We want your voices to be heard.?Making this a community vision has been crucial to where we are today. Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, Mohawk Valley Health System President/CEO Darlene Stromstad, Fu Wilmers Design, members from MVHS, and Mohawk Valley EDGE were on hand to present to, and engage with members of the public. This is just the first step in the process and there will be much more engagement in the months to come. We again wish to thank all those that have attended and provided valued feedback.
