    This is a safe space, right? Who else has been in the marketing vs sales tug of war???? Spoiler alert: we’ve called a truce, and the results? Absolutely game-changing. I’ve been reflecting on the dazzling job our B2B marketing and sales teams have done in the last year and a bit, and I’m keen to share the secrets!??? For too long, we were stuck on the ‘MQL hamster wheel’. You know the drill: churn out the volume, hand them off, and hope for the best. Spoiler: it *wasn’t* the best. But we knew there was a better way. We needed to be more than just lead generators; we needed to be deal champions, the cheerleaders of closed deals.??? The crucial bit? Shared targets, baby!??? We ditched the MQL madness and dived headfirst into a strategic, account-based approach focussing on a shared goal of SAOs for Pion. We launched our ABM program, creating a weekly chinwag (aka, a cross-functional working group) to prioritise those top-tier accounts, nail down killer content, and analyse the data that actually matters. This all-bound approach has turned our teams into a dynamic duo! B2B Marketing is now the consistent collaborator, supporting sales from start to finish. We’re getting creative, tailoring strategies, and truly partnering to win big. And the impact? We’ve seen some of our biggest ICP brands landing as SAOs and a huge +60% increase in marketing-influenced revenue YoY. These numbers aren’t just metrics; they’re a testament to the power of alignment (and a bit of good teamwork, if you ask me!) ?? A massive shoutout to my righthand sales pal, Ellie Haskins and the entire SDR & BD teams.??? Working together, we’re achieving incredible things.
